What's in scope

The work, in detail.

Instrumentation is where measurement meets control. The work has to be precise, traceable, and survive a hostile environment.

Field instruments
Transmitters (pressure, level, temperature, flow), switches, and analytical instruments. Mounted, oriented, and connected per ISA-5.1 and the loop sheets.
Tubing and impulse lines
Stainless tubing runs with proper slope, supports, and freeze protection. Bend radii, support spacing, and fittings to spec.
Heat trace
Self-regulating and constant-wattage heat trace with insulation, controllers, and high-limit thermostats. Documented to circuit ID for future maintenance.
Control wiring
Twisted-shielded pair to junction box, marshalling, and PLC/DCS cabinet. Drain-wire grounding at one end only. Loop integrity verified before turnover.
Calibration
Bench calibration with traceable test equipment and field verification with HART communicator or 4-20 mA simulator.
Loop checks
End-to-end loop verification: field signal -> junction box -> marshalling -> I/O card -> control room display. Recorded on loop sheets with operator sign-off.

Process

How this service runs.

01
Loop sheet review
We start at the loop sheets and instrument data sheets. If something is missing, we ask before we start.
02
Pre-mount calibration
Bench calibration of each instrument in a controlled environment, with certificates retained.
03
Field installation
Mount, tube, wire, and label each instrument. Heat trace energized only after insulation closure.
04
Loop check
Inject and verify at every stage of the loop. Operator sign-off at the control room.
05
Turnover
Loop sheets signed, certificates filed, lessons-learned shared with your maintenance group.
In the field

The work is documented, the loops close, the inspector signs.

Standards

Standards this scope is built to.

ISA-5.1
Instrumentation symbols and loop identification.
ISA-RP-77.60
Industrial control panel grounding practice.
NEC Article 504
Intrinsically safe systems for classified areas.
Manufacturer specifications
We follow OEM installation requirements, not generic shortcuts.

FAQ

Common questions on this scope.

Yes. Bench calibration with traceable equipment and field verification with HART or loop simulator. Certificates are retained and turned over with the loop sheets.
Yes, on the field-instrument and marshalling side. We coordinate with the controls integrator on I/O card mapping and address assignment.
Yes. We sequence loop checks with your commissioning lead and adjust the schedule when a loop fails or a tag changes.
Yes. Self-regulating and constant-wattage trace with insulation, controllers, and circuit identification.
Loop sheets, calibration certificates, instrument data sheets, and a marked-up P&ID set. Delivered as a single binder or digital package.
